Benjamin Polson, 33, joined the St. Louis Fire Department in 2019 following in the footsteps of his father James Polson who was a retired fire captain. Polson died while battling a house fire on the 5900 block of Cote Brilliante Avenue in St. Louis on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. Firefighters from all over the United States came to St. Louis for his visitation and burial to pay their respects.
